Carbon Steels

Stripping and true passivation of steels

Black steels must be treated when new, before they can used for specific applications.

Pickling Passivation steels

The treatment of new parts is geared towards the complete removal of carbon deposits and oxides, but also towards the true passivation of surfaces by forming a homogeneous layer of passive iron oxides that increase surface strength.

  • Tanks for pure gas, oxygen, chlorine and clean chemical fluids
  • Process boilers and pressurised steam installations
  • Process networks and exchangers for technical fluids

Other treatments applied to steel installations include curative and preventive maintenance operations, descaling, desludging and chemical leaching, which are performed at the customer site.
