Specifities of noble alloys and superalloys
To achieve high corrosion resistance in severe environments, special alloys must be used.
Superalloys include the Inconel, Incoloy, Hastelloy and Monel families, which are characterised by very high chrome, nickel and molybdenum content. These alloys must be treated to ensure their corrosion resistance :
- Degreasing using strenghened products, pre-degreasing with caustic products
- Material-specific stripping
- Stricter passivation and final passivation tests
